We are a group practice and you may consult any one of the doctors. Consultations are either telephone appointments, face to face or eConsult by clicking on the above link. To make an appointment either call at reception or telephone 01872 572255 and selection option 1, the receptionist will try to give you a convenient appointment with the doctor of your choice.
In line with the wishes of the government, we are now running a system of same day appointments. In order to arrange an appointment you will have to ring the surgery on the day that you wish to be seen for both emergency and routine appointments. Some people find that dropping into the surgery to arrange an appointment is easier than ringing first thing in the morning as the phone lines are often very busy after 08:00.
We do offer some pre-bookable early morning and late afternoon appointments, which can be booked up to two weeks in advance.
All appointments with the nurses and other healthcare professionals can still be booked in advance.
We offer a late surgery every Wednesday evening. Appointments run until 20:10 and can be pre-booked 2 weeks in advance with a doctor or a nurse.
If you wish to see the nurse please make an appointment by phoning the appointments line. Our health care assistants are trained to perform ECGs, check blood pressures, take blood, perform health checks and complete simple dressings. Please let the receptionist know why you need the appointment, i.e. for an injection, dressing or blood test, so that we know how much time to reserve and with whom to make the appointment.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
As a practice we have over 100 unattended appointments per month. We deal with non attendance and lateness proactively so that our services are not strained. Our appointments system is set up to automatically send text reminders to patients who have not attended their booked appointment with the doctor/nurse/HCA/physiotherapist/other health care professional.
Wasted appointments may mean another patient who wants to see their Doctor is unable to to due to limited availability. We respectfully request that if something arises meaning you may miss or be late for an appointment in the future, you kindly let us know in advance.
